Instructions for Careful Handling of Your DustBunnyDoll

Thank you for choosing one of my handcrafted art dolls. To ensure your doll stays in the best possible condition and retains its beauty for years to come, please follow these handling and care instructions.

1. Handling with Care

  • Avoid Dropping: Resin is a delicate material, and dropping your doll may cause it to crack or break. Always handle with gentle care and place the doll on stable surfaces.

  • Use Both Hands: When picking up or adjusting the doll, use both hands to distribute the weight evenly and avoid putting unnecessary pressure on any one part.

  • Avoid Holding by Small or Fragile Parts: Never hold your doll by small parts (e.g., hair, hands) or thin, delicate features. Always grip the doll by its torso or legs for stability.

2. Displaying Your Doll

  • Stable Surface: Ensure that your doll is displayed on a sturdy, level surface. A display case or shelf with sufficient support is ideal to avoid the risk of it toppling over.

  • Avoid High Traffic Areas: Place your doll in areas where it’s less likely to be accidentally knocked over or handled by children or pets.

3. Avoid Direct Sunlight & UV Exposure

  • Store Out of Direct Light: Prolonged exposure to sunlight or artificial UV light may cause the resin to discolor and become brittle over time. Keep your doll out of direct sunlight, and avoid placing it under bright artificial lighting for extended periods.

  • Proper Storage: If not displaying your doll, store it in a cool, dry place away from windows or light sources. A box or storage container with soft padding can protect it from accidental damage.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Dusting: Gently dust your doll with a soft, dry cloth or a soft-bristled brush to avoid scratching the surface. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

  • Spot Cleaning: If your doll needs more thorough cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with lukewarm water. Avoid getting the doll wet, as water can damage the paint and materials.

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use harsh chemicals, solvents, or cleaners on your doll. These can damage the resin, paint, and any other delicate parts.

5. Handling Accessories

  • Small Parts: If your doll includes detachable accessories, such as shoes, hats, or clothing, handle them carefully. Store these items in a safe place when not in use to avoid misplacement or damage.

  • Reattaching Parts: When attaching or detaching accessories, do so gently. Avoid forcing any parts to fit, as this can cause them to break or become damaged.

6. Keeping Out of Reach of Children and Pets

  • Choking Hazard: This doll contains small parts that could pose a choking hazard if handled improperly. Keep your doll out of reach of children and pets to ensure their safety and the longevity of your doll.
